Themed funerals
One way to make a final and memorable statement about your life is to request – and better still, to organise – your own funeral around a theme.
Don't be shy! You can choose any theme you like. It may be just a question of decorating the coffin around the theme, or you can invite all the participants to join in.
Here are a few ideas that have been used in the past:
- Football (your favourite club)
- Motorcycling
- Clowns
- Dr Who (coffin in the shape of the TARDIS)
- Vikings
Be sure to find a funeral director who sympathises. Many are perfectly used to themed funerals, and may be able to offer some helpful advice.
